Watch, learn and do! If you’re a do-it-yourselfer or boat owner interested in learning new techniques for taking care of your boat or motor, head to Fred’s Shed for practical, professional advice. Free daily sessions cover a variety of topics.

  • Watch certified marine technician and expert wrench slinger “Fred” demo tools and techniques on actual boat and motor cutaways.
  • Learn how to maintain, repair or upgrade our boat or motor.
  • Take part in discussions, ask questions and participate in hands-on-clinics.

Kids' Zone 

Located in the Pier 48 building

Nautical fun for your little mariners! 

Sailing Simulator give young skippers a chance to  experience how a boat reacts to wind and waves without getting wet.

Want the kids to try a water activity? Visit Try It Cove from stand-up paddle boarding to kayaking, canoeing and more! Be sure to bring your suit and a towel; we'll provide the equipment and instruction.

Remember— admission is free for kids 15 and younger. 



Hourly Educational Seminars

Educational and enlightening programs are hosted by local experts and adventurerers who know the waters and will share practical advice, expert opinions and tall tales.
